Die Architektur der Disziplin

Ante Timmermans presents an installation combining a three-dimensional drawing with wall drawings, drawings and video. The title “Architektur der Disziplin” refers to the order of time and space described by Michel Foucault as serving the purpose of surveillance and control. Order and control, two terms, which, despite their negative connotation, reveal a poetic promise in the context of the fragility of the spatial drawing and follow the exhibition series “Poesie des alltäglichen” at o.T.Raum für aktuelle Kunst, Luzern, 2010, and “Poesie der Langeweile” at Barbara Seiler, Zürich, 2010.
